What can be done about lack of sleep?
In the contemporary age, the large proportion of people notifies that they are not able to fulfill their night rest. I am going to discuss some sleeplessness issue and some solutions in the following paragraphs.
The first and foremost reason behind this phenomenon is depression. According to WHO (World Health Organization) depression is a common mental disorder. It involves a depressed mood or loss of pleasure or interest in activities for long periods of time. So when a person is depressed and has no peace of mind he cannot sleep peacefully. Exclusively young age band face this issue much because they don’t have social life devote abundant of their time on social media which is the main root of disruptive sleeping problems. Young generation spends their nighttime using smartphones or other electronic equipment such as laptops, tablets and so on. They don’t sleep on time this cause depression and also disturb the sleeping habits.
Furthermore, Stress is also a reason of disordered night rest. As we are aware that with the developing the technology our desires are also becoming unlimited. This needs unscheduled working hours. On the other to handle everyday expenses is also a big challenge for any family head especially in under developed countries. For a middle class family it not easy to manage food, rent, utility bills expenses and offspring educational fees by having one job. To fulfill all these they work day and night which put stress on them. As a result of this, they try to complete their job task even spending the whole night. To illustrate my point, recent research has shown that people suffer from a variety of mental disorders and other non-communicable diseases due to the lack of sleep as compared to the last five years.
To solve this problem Governments and individual should take serious actions. First of all government of any country should broadcast some special programs regarding depression causes and solutions. Also there should be some seminars on School, Colleges and Universities level to give awareness to young generation about negative health effect excessive use of social media.
In conclusion, main problems which causing sleeplessness are depression, stress and excessive use of smart phone, tablet, laptop and internet. Government and individual together can control this problem.
