What is IELTS?
IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System
There are 3 different types of IELTS. IELTS Academic IELTS General Training IELTS Life Skills
Who can take IELTS?
IELTS Academic. Any one who planing to go abroad for higher education he/she needs to take IELTS Academic.
IELTS General Training. A person who going abroad especially in English Speaking Countries as a skilled worker he/she is entitled to take IELTS General Training.
IELTS Life Skills. If anybody going to UK on spouse VISA that person need to pass IELTS Life Skills A1.
IELTS Format
listening It consists of 40 questions. Normally its duration is 30 to 35 minutes.
Questions consist of Form, note, table, flow-chart, summary completion.Plan, map, diagram labelling. Matching, Multiple choices, Sentence completion. Reading test consists of 40 questions.
Reading Its duration is 1 hour. It consists of MCQs.

Sentence completion.
Summary completion.

Matching sentence endings
Writing Writing consists of writing Task 1 & Writing Task 2.
Total time is allowed 1 hour.
In Writing Task 1 a candidate has to write at least 150 words on a Chart, Graph, Map or Picture.
Task 2 is Essay writing on a given topic (at least 250 words).
speaking It has 3 parts.
Speaking test duration is 15 to 20 minutes.
In speaking part 1 a candidate has to answer introduction questions about 5 to 8.
Part 2 is Cue card. A candidate needs to speak on a given topic for 2 minutes.
Part 3 is fallow up question. Examiner asks about 3 to 4 questions related to Cue card.
